Ephemeral Walk, threads of destiny

Digital painting, 2024

Ephemeral Walk / Threads of Destiny depicts a solitary figure suspended in an absolute void, walking along a single taut thread. Around him, a dense web of red lines cuts through the darkness — a cosmic lattice evoking the strands of fate woven by the Moirai.

His body, bare and exposed, moves forward in a fragile equilibrium, arms open as if seeking a balance between freedom and predestination. The figure does not control the path; he traverses it, aware that each step is temporary, unfolding within a structure far larger than himself. The threads are not merely constraints, but possibilities — invisible trajectories shaping the direction of his existence.

The work reflects the delicate instant of walking on the edge: a gesture that embodies both resistance and surrender, tension and attentiveness. In the surrounding blackness, the light striking the figure becomes a metaphor for a consciousness trying to orient itself within a network of ancient, impersonal forces.

In Ephemeral Walk / Threads of Destiny, fate is not a sentence but a field of tensions. The man advances along a thread so thin it could vanish at any moment, knowing that his journey is impermanent — and that it is precisely within this impermanence that his freedom takes form.
