ABOUT
NICOLA SCOGNAMIGLIO
Visual artist and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. His work moves between photography, graphite and ink drawings, and poetic cinematic studies. Through a quite gaze, he explores the tension between matter and time, human perception and landscape - seeking moments where reality feels both distant and familiar.
I’m drawn to the moments where reality feels suspended — when the physical world becomes a reflection of perception. Alongside my personal work, I contribute to visual development and creative direction for film and photographic projects.
HARDBOILED
Hardboiled is an ongoing film and photography series exploring cities, landscapes and states of perception. Each project is built as a visual essay - fragments of movement, silence and time, that reveal how the world is observed rather than narrated.
TRACES
Traces gathers Nicola’s physical works — graphite, ink and digital paintings — as studies of gesture, erosion and form. These pieces exist somewhere between drawing and memory, reflecting the tactile side of his visual research.
